Carrefour Makeup Haul (Maybelline)

hi everyone! how was your week? oh well, anyway i tried saving a bit after payday so instead of lusting for MAC i thought i'd try less expensive makeup.

some call it drugstore makeup, i call it carrefour makeup.

Maybelline Watershine Liquid Diamond

i just picked a really neautral shade which kinda looks peachy a little bit…just to put on top of my makeup. i’d say it’s really glossy and not quite as sticky as MAC lipglass. for its price…i’d say it’s a gem.

Free Samples

they gave me a set of Maybelline Total Clean facial wash and makeup remover. i love the makeup remover a lot. i have still yet to test the facial wash. so far it’s quite effective in removing my makeup and it’s a bit moisturizing as well which i quite like.

Maybelline Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner – 3g

actually i’ve been using MAC fluidlines, the only reason why i got this is i was planning to buy the brown one. but there was some misunderstanding, so what’s the point i just got it anyway.

actually it’s smooth and easy to apply. i feel like it’s more watery than fluidlines. however that makes it really easy to apply. however…trying to smudge it is kinda tough. and it doesn’t look that natural for a smokey eye.

however, the good news is, for regular cat eye looks, it does the job. with the help of an eyeshadow primer it stayed on perfect for more than 4 hours.

will i buy it again. yeah definitely. although i wish they’d improve the packaging, it looks like a container for medicines.

Maybelline Volum Express Cat eyes Mascara (Waterproof)

it comes with a small comb instead of the regular mascara wand so it’s quite perfect for separating your eyelashes. see how it does on mine. quite cool huh?

so how about you, what’s the last thing you bought from the grocery or drugstore?

Love Thing

Hi everyone! how are you? well, i want to share with you my current favorite blush from MAC. Actually i’ve been intending to collect a few and i practically researched the must-haves for the permanent MAC blushes.

However, there are times that in a collection they’d be selling, or they call it repromotes, blushes or products from their permanent line. the cool stuff about it is you get it in another packaging.

Well, anyway, as i was about to get a new blush. the mineralize blushes caught my eye.

They come in the regular black MAC blush casing. The only difference is that they’re a bit dome-shaped. After almost a month of usage, it still hasn’t lost its shape.

It’s highly pigmented, in fact, when i used my denser brushes i look like a clown already, even if i just used 2 strokes. so i suggest using a lighter brush, or maybe a fan brush.

It has tiny specks of glitter on it, which is pretty cool when you get into the sunlight, you can pretend you’re one of the cullens. lol. but seriously, it looks luminous and doesn’t look flat at all…you won’t end up like a kabuki stage  actor or something.

This spring, i layer it a bit with bronzer to make it look a rosy tan. I love it and it’s worth every penny. Because a little goes a long way, i think i’m gonna use this up for more than 2 months. Now you do the math. Seriously, i bought a cheaper blush from Sephora and it lasted me only two weeks and there are only two shades to choose from.

What are your favorite mineral blushes? C’mon sharing time!

Capricious Lipstick (Hello Kitty Collection)

ok normally when people have makeup sites, it’s mostly mac products anyway so in the same manner, most of the products ill be posting here are by default mac unless specified otherwise.

im only starting to build up my makeup collection and i don’t have that much MAC lipstick. i thought i’m fine with my benefit lipsticks…but as they say when you use MAC you never go back.

i bought Capricious Lipstick because of the case actually, it’s in a shiny black metal casing, with a cute hello kitty print outside. on the inside, it even has a tiny embossed hello kitty logo. a

the color is a little bit on the berryish shade which is perfect for my tanned skin. it’s just a bit two degrees from my natural lip color. it’s a lustre lipstick but i wish it’s a bit more shinier. so i top it off with a lipgloss.

people have commented how nicely it looked on me and i’m quite pleased. it stays on for hours and it’s highly pigmented. i suggest using a lipstick brush in applying so it’s more natural looking.

so how about you? what’s your favorite lipstick from the hello kitty collection?

I’m NC45!!!

Finally, i belong! i’m NC 45! if you have no idea what i’m talking about, surely you’re not a MAC avid user.

Well, i’m not an expert on these things either, as it was recently that i got myself a MAC Studio Fix Fluid. All the girls in their forum, label themselves according to their MAC Foundation shade. They totally memorize the numbering system, they’d be able to tell from your foundation codes what pigmentation youu have.

Until most recently i bought myself a bottle of MAC Studio Fluid. After several tests, i decided i’m NC 45. finally, when i read other forums now, i’d see when the girl has the same skintone as mine, i would have a better picture, if her makeup would suit me as well.

The thing i like about Studio Fluid is it’s very matte and really keeps your face smooth. My friends noticed it too.

The thing with studio fix, it doesn’t come with your own applicator so i suggest using brushes instead. i use just a little bit and so most of the time, i dab a cotton bud into a bottle then get the product from there. That way, we don’t contaminate the bottle.

If you’re unsure about your shade, i recommend testing the foundation first in all different kinds of lights. Also try to match your face to your neck color as well. Though for me it’s a bit weird coz my first is a bit darker than my neck.

Overall, i love this product, it makes my skin smooth and made up. I don’t have any breakouts, it stays on all day and it makes me look good. What more could you ask for?
